Student Life

Studying at TU Eisenfeld means being part of a community that works together across time zones. Student councils, initiatives and competition teams are open to all students — whether in Munich or on another continent.

Student councils and representation

Every school has an elected student council that represents students on study committees and in the senate. The councils organise first-year mentoring, office hours and the semi-annual teaching evaluation — and are the first port of call when something in your studies gets stuck. Elections are held digitally every winter semester.

Initiatives and competition teams

From RoboCup to CTF: student teams compete internationally and are supported by the schools with laboratory time, mentoring and a travel budget. New initiatives can be founded at any time through the student councils.

Learning communities across time zones

Every cohort is organised into moderated study groups of six to eight students, mixed by time zone and study mode. The groups meet weekly on the virtual campus, work through problem sheets together and prepare for examinations. Once a year the university hosts an on-site weekend in Munich — optional, but well attended.

Advice and wellbeing

The psychological counselling service offers confidential one-to-one video sessions — free of charge, in German and English, with appointments in every time window. It is complemented by workshops on learning strategies, exam anxiety and balancing study, work and family. In urgent cases, the advisory service arranges a first appointment within 48 hours.
